Helmets, or helms for short, are headgear smithed from ore. They may be used with Combat or Magic fighting skills, but not Range.
Classes of helmets[]
The class of a helmet depends on the type of ore used to make it.
Bronze Helmet[]
Anyone can wear this helmet, or smith a new one from 1 copper and 1 tin ore at any forge, though you need level 10 Mining to get the tin ore yourself. It provides 1 armor point.
Iron Helmet[]
You need level 25 Combat to wear this helmet. It can be made from 2 iron ores at any forge.
Steel Helmet[]
This helmet can be worn at 49 Combat. It requires only one iron ore, but 2 coal ores to smith.
Lava Helmet[]
The best helmet requires Combat level 70. It may only be smithed in the Badlands forge, from a lava ore and 4 coal ores.
Like Helmets[]
These hats are similar to helmets, in that they may be used in the same way, but players cannot make them:
- Magic Hat
- Wizard Hat
Ranger Hats cannot be used in the same way as helmets, but are the opposite counterpart in that they are for Range only, and give nothing to Combat or Magic.
